Karen S. Hwang, Esq. is the founder of KSH Law Group, and an entrepreneurial attorney based in Chicago where she focuses on business and trademark law in the hospitality, entertainment, and tech market space. She is dedicated to advising entrepreneurs and companies in starting, growing, and protecting all aspects of their businesses. Her prior experiences include working in Korea, and with various companies ranging from start-ups to a Fortune 500 company and a U.S. federal judge which allows her to combine her business acumen and legal advisory services to meet the diverse aspects of her client's needs.
Karen is also an active member of the Chicago legal and Asian community, and President of the Korean American Coalition of Chicago (KACC), a non-partisan, non-profit organization with national headquarters in Los Angeles and one of the leading advocacy and leadership development organizations for Korean American entrepreneurs and professionals in Chicago. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Hanul Family Alliance, a social service agency providing comprehensive community-based services to meet the needs of Korean-American seniors and families which annually serves over 7,000 individuals and families of all ages and ethnicities in Illinois.
Karen is passionate about mentoring, coalition-building, and serving the community. She frequents as a guest judge for various moot court competitions and scholarship awards, and is excited to be a part of this empowering event for talented, diverse women. Her current hobbies include exploring Chicago's vibrant culture, and paddling with the Typhoon Dragon Boat Team on weekends.
